The University of Arizona HealthCare Partnership announces the release of new Native Communities curricula. Updates to the Basic Tobacco Intervention Skills Certification for Native Communities program reflect current trends and statistics in nicotine addiction and treatment intervention within American Indian/Alaska Native communities. New content includes:
- Culturally responsive approaches when working with American Indian/Alaska Native populations
- Social Determinants of Health linked to higher tobacco use among Native communities
- Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS)
- Environmental impact of commercial tobacco and ENDS
- Low-Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) Lung Cancer Screening
- Relapse Prevention and Early Intervention
- Harm Reduction/Harm Minimization
